in terms of security, the less code the better. so, if i remove the code for animations, it could have less of an attack vector? and it might run even faster, unless it is absolutely needed for animations for user interactions. animations are only to make the user interface more friendly, and responsive if you have a touch based gesture device, sometimes. but, animations aren’t always needed, for example, when you click an icon on your home screen on your phone, it will load faster if there wasn’t even an animation just to launch that app.
animations aren’t always necessary, so why do i need something fancy like animations? in some cases, like dragging and dropping, if that even counts as an animations, is a good use case for an animation. because it shows exactly where my mouse cursor is and what it is doing.
Did you knooow?? That you can turn water bottles into filament for 3d printers? This could be a creative way to recycle plastic! And also, for anybody interested in solar, there are these things called “solar cells” that are cheaper and could be DIY’d to work just like a solar panel.
If you didn’t know, there is a way to make websites using Github. You can make them using github pages.
If you’re interested in computers, like me, I think it is actually really fun setting up your own website.
Stop it. Use BSD or linux. Because I can see what you are doing on your computer.
No, I’m just kidding. But, we could use some more operating system diversity. It never hurts using a different operating system because rather than all people being affected using the same OS, only some people do.
I know Linux is just a kernel.
By the way, Windows is very odd in the way microsoft has handled it now. I honestly don’t like the way they handled privacy with Windows. I know that people think privacy is a joke with computing. Why does privacy even matter? I just feel that privacy is possible without relying on monetary value for providing something like an OS. An OS is only, and is not a service. It is literally stored locally on your computer. At least I guess microsoft has the gaming front.
If you’ve been interested about crypto, you may or may not know about the big name bitcoin. Bitcoin has been made as an alternate way to pay digitally “privately” and “securely”. Unfortunately, through the paces of time it hasn’t stood up to its claims. Bitcoin can be traced and can be seen by how it has been used in the past for purchases.
This is where Monero comes in. Monero was made by a group of crypto enthusiasts making a private, secure and decentralized way of paying online. If there is new Monero put in a crypto wallet, it will have two statements, one “locked” and another “unlocked”. Locked isn’t able to be used until it is done reading the blocks. Once it is done, it will be read as unlocked and you may pay with it. But once you pay, it will take some time to be used again. Monero has a blockchain technology that allows people to use it anywhere else, and it isn’t linking to personally identifiable information about you. It uses a decentralized blockchain, that means that the crypto mixes with others and doesn’t tie your payment to your purchases.
There are many ways to get electricity, especially from sources of coal and nonrenewable resources. But who knows if we could ever get out of this debt of ever ending energy, that we will one day have to rely on renewable sources, like solar and hydroelectric and wind. Solar is the most budget conscious friendly out of all. And where will all of this electricity go to if we hog all of the resources anyway. Over using water and over using materials just to make renewable energy.
I’m thinking one day I might make ‘servers’ locally rather than using a VPS or web hosting. But the reason why I haven’t done that, is because I don’t have an ISP that allows me to host my own email/website.
Sorry this was a very short blog post. Maybe I should combine this with my “how to make a website” post.
How did I make this website? I use Monero signing up for a domain service and a web hosting & VPS service. Monero is a sort of currency I recommend for privacy and security, because it is made to emulate cash but digitally. I use Njalla, and 1984, to create this website.
For Njalla, I used it for domain registration:
I made one ‘a’ DNS and connected it via www (just www).
Then, I make one ‘a’ DNS again and just use @ sign (for root).
For 1984, I used it for VPS hosting and web hosting:
Just sign up via web hosting (if ‘private’, you need monero, otherwise it won’t let you) and setup a CMS. A CMS is a content management system. 1984 comes with one preinstalled for web hosts.
